Our centre is a must-visit for anyone looking for the latest building, renovating and home design products and inspiration. Whether you are planning a new home, a major renovation or a quick update, you can explore three levels of displays and showrooms, 7 days a week.

We have been a proud independent Western Australian business since 1988, and are not owned or operated by a building company. Most of all, we love helping people bring their dream home plans to life.

Monday to Friday: 9am – 5pm
Saturday: 8:30am – 5pm
Sunday: 10am – 4pm

We are also open 10am – 4pm on most public holidays. Scroll to the bottom of this page to view our list of closures, including those over the Christmas, New Year and Easter holiday periods.

Yes, entry is free and there is no need to book your visit.

We have plenty of free onsite parking available – enter our car park from either Salvado Road or Harborne Street. If you are staying longer than 2 hours, collect a day parking permit from the Welcome Desk. We are also a short walk from Subiaco train station.

Start at the Welcome Desk, just inside the main entry doors. Our team is ready to answer your questions and help you find the displays and products most relevant to your project. They can also give you a centre map and a ‘How to Obtain Brochures’ card.

The Welcome Desk team is your go-to for centre know-how, so we highly recommend a quick chat before you start exploring.

Yes. Home Base Design & Build Centre is designed to be self-guided, but many showrooms and displays are staffed by experts who can answer your questions and help with product selections.

For more information about anything you see in the centre, scan the display QR code to view company information, images and contact details. Alternatively, circle the display number on your ‘How to Obtain Brochures’ card and the Welcome Desk team can provide product brochures and company contact details.

Yes. We run a series of courses and masterclasses throughout the year – including our popular interior design, garden design and owner-builder courses. Visit Courses & Masterclasses for everything on offer and to view upcoming dates.

We also offer free 1-hour Meet the Designer consultations, which give you a private appointment with our in-house designer to talk through your plans, selections or ideas. Consultations are available on Fridays and Saturdays and can be booked on our Meet the Designer page.

Take a break with a coffee, tasty lunch or sweet treat at 55 Bites, our in-centre café. Open Monday to Saturday until 2:30pm.
